Physiotherapy?

Physiotherapy is a form of therapy with the aim of managing a person’s pain as well as restoring, maintaining, and maximizing a person’s mobility, overall health and function.

 

Therapy sessions are tailored to each individual’s needs. Some of the common conditions physiotherapists include, but are not limited to:

  • Neck pain (ie. torticollis, radiculopathy)
  • Shoulder pain (ie. frozen shoulder, rotator cuff injury)
  • Elbow pain (ie. tennis elbow, golfer’s elbow)
  • Lower back pain (ie. disc herniation, sciatica)
  • Hip pain (ie. arthritis, piriformis syndrome)
  • Knee pain (ie. arthritis, ACL injuries, patellofemoral syndrome)
  • Ankle pain (ie. ankle sprains)

 

Treatment techniques include, but are not limited to:

  • Patient education
  • Manual therapy
  • Taping
  • Modalities
  • Exercise prescription
